Thank You, Thank You! What a year. 0

Dec29

Hello All,

It’s that time of year when everyone looks back. This year, looking back overwhelms me (in a good way). I dream of being able to live my dream, which is making music. THIS YEAR we actually got to do that for the first time. We had the opportunity to play shows with, and get to know bands and musicians that we were fans of before. It is unbelievable to me that we shared the stage with people like Loretta Lynn, Ben Folds, Metric, Mat Kearney and our new pals Bowling For Soup. Without these wonderful and talented people we wouldn’t be where we are now.

Also, the support of our fans, friends and family has been unbelievable. We couldn’t do it without you. For you to believe in our music and what we do means more than you will probably ever know. So, thank you. Thank you a million times. We love you all.

Here’s to an amazing 2010. A year when we get to release our new CD, Truth On Tape. A year that I’m sure holds lots of love and excitement.

All the best to All of you,
Ryan (and Jencey)

Fanfarlo….on my mind. 0

fanfarlo-01 Ok, I will admit that I love bands that have girls in them. If I see a band photo and there is a girl in the band I WILL go check them out. This is a band I found recently and I think you should check them out too if you have the right amoung of time slash boredom. :) They’re streaming their entire album here and there is also a free download. Score.

Current Obsessions 2

Aug17

Happy Monday internet users! I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend. I thought I’d share a few of my current obsessions with you.     -Ryan

Californicaton

Californication

Californication

I sort of missed the boat with this show when it first came out (thank God for Netflix). I’m now completely obsessed with Hank Moody (David Duchonvy’s character) and the way he tries to ‘handle’ his life and deal with his personal demons. Sadly, I think I relate to his emotional state which makes the show somewhat therapeutic for me, haha. ANYWAY, if you haven’t seen it WATCH IT. If you have seen it, isn’t it great?!

Wilco – Ashes of American Flags DVD

Wilco

Wilco

The people close to me will tell you that I pretty much constantly have a live concert DVD, road movie or band documentary playing at home. I have quite the collection. However, you can count on 3 artists showing up consistantly in my neverending rotation. They are: Wilco, Tom Petty and Bob Dylan. My poison right now is Wilco’s FANTASTIC Ashes of American Flags DVD. Do it.

Morning Star Farms Veggie Burgers

YUM!

YUM!

Earlier this year (after many failed attempts) I began a mission to start eating right and exercising. On this mission I discovered the glory that are Morning Star Farms Veggie Burgers. If you’re like me and you’ve always aspired to eat right, but love the good stuff a little too much to really commit. . . . . go out and buy yourself some Morning Star Spicy Black Bean Veggie Patties. mmmm mmmm good.

Now go sit on your butt, watch Californication (or some sort of musical documentary) and eat a veggie burger.   ;-)

The Ghost in Us 0

Aug15

Hi, this is Jencey and here’s my thought. When I was in sixth grade I constantly checked this book out of the library that talked about ghosts. I remember every time it was due I would go back and check it out again. Maybe no one else in my school even had a chance to read it. The most interesting story was one about a ghost that would walk down the stairs in a castle in Ireland every night at the same time. However, the ballroom floor had been redone and raised about two feet so the ghost was cut off at the shins every time he would walk across the ballroom floor.

City Ghosts

It just amazed me that perhaps a repetition of our actions could cause an imprint on time and that perhaps there is a ghost in all of us.
