I’ll even sweeten the deal and offer anyone who sends a screen shot/pic of their iTunes review to info@smilesmilemusic.com an unreleased acoustic song and our cover of Snow Patrol’s ‘Chasing Cars‘ for FREE.

A few weeks ago we told our Twitter followers that we would record a Live/Acoustic set for them. They picked what songs they wanted to hear and we promised we would record them live and make it available for FREE download.
Well, we did just that!
We had a lot of fun recording these songs. It was cool to do alternate/acoustic versions. Anyway, we’re excited to share it with you guys.

Thanks so much for supporting our band. It means the world.
Love,
Ryan (and Jencey)
P.S. All of the songs were RECORDED LIVE and ACOUSTIC. They are genuine LIVE recordings. ZERO overdubs
OK, so, I try to set a video camera up somewhere in the venue at every show we play. Typically I use the recordings to reference afterward and see where we can improve. We’ve never shared the audio from one of these recordings until now. The following is audio ripped from our Flip (I like the way that sounds “ripped from our Flip”) from our last New York City performance on 6-12-10.
We will be releasing something we’re calling The Birthday EP.
For now, a limited number of these will only be available in Dallas at our April 30th House of Blues Show/Birthday Celebration. For just $5 you will get a Party Favor Bag which will include a copy of “Truth on Tape“, the new “Birthday EP” and some other fun surprises!! Tickets are going fast, get yours here
It’s our small way of saying ‘thank you’ to our home town who has always been incredibly good to us (don’t worry we haven’t forgotten about the rest of you )
Smile Smile -The Birthday EP.
1. Truth on Tape (acoustic)
2. Beg You to Stay (acoustic)
3. Tempo Bledsoe (acoustic)
4. Have I Failed You (unreleased demo)
5. Sad Song (LIVE from D.C.)
So, we survived the Festivals!! We had a great time at NX35 and SXSW. Thanks to everyone who came out to see us in the middle of the madness.
Jencey @ SXSW
SO MUCH FUN!! To quote Jencey, “SXSW is better people watching than Six Flags.” We got to hear some great music, meet some cool people and we didn’t get sun burned. . . so that’s good
Ryan @ NX35
We’ve decided to use this post festival break to play some shows close to home. This includes a very special Birthday Weekend of House of Blues Shows in Dallas (April 30th, Ryan’s BDay) and Houston (May 1st, Jencey’s BDay) . . . . . more fun info about these shows soon. We are also bringing our Indie Folk Dance Party to the Suburbs. We don’t want cities like Arlington and Frisco, TX to feel left out. We will try and be sober and on our best behavior, so bring the whole family! Check our TOUR page for more shows and more info.
An abundance of entertaining things and exciting announcements coming sooooon.
Until Then
Lots of Love,
Ryan
It’s that time of year when everyone looks back. This year, looking back overwhelms me (in a good way). I dream of being able to live my dream, which is making music. THIS YEAR we actually got to do that for the first time. We had the opportunity to play shows with, and get to know bands and musicians that we were fans of before. It is unbelievable to me that we shared the stage with people like Loretta Lynn, Ben Folds, Metric, Mat Kearney and our new pals Bowling For Soup. Without these wonderful and talented people we wouldn’t be where we are now.
Also, the support of our fans, friends and family has been unbelievable. We couldn’t do it without you. For you to believe in our music and what we do means more than you will probably ever know. So, thank you. Thank you a million times. We love you all.
Here’s to an amazing 2010. A year when we get to release our new CD, Truth On Tape. A year that I’m sure holds lots of love and excitement.
Here is your first taste/glimpse/look/listen at material from our New CD, Truth on Tape. The new CD will be released 2-16-10 on our wonderful label Kirtland Records.
We realize that some of you were expecting the new cd sooner than that. For the wait, we apologize. However, in an attempt to keep you entertained and satisfied (which we always try to do) we will be releasing music videos featuring new songs from Truth on Tape through the end of the year.
Now feast your eyes and ears on TEMPO BLEDSOE (done all in one take, thank you).
For an extra bit of fun, watch Ryan trying really hard not to laugh
